A1K9 family protection dog Zara is a Czech import female German Shepherd who comes from top working bloodlines that go back to the original Czech border patrol dogs.  As one might expect from this impressive breeding, Zara has a great work ethic and has shown throughout her training that she not only excels at the protection work but puts the same enthusiasm into her obedience, agility or any other activity.

Zara is by nature very calm and confident and takes all life’s’ challenges in her stride. She enjoys interacting with both adults and children and she is very accepting of other dogs, making her the ideal candidate for a family who might have an existing pet male dog and or young kids. Despite her compact size, when it comes to protection work, Zara can hold her own even in the most adverse situations and would certainly be as capable as some of the much larger males that we have at A1K9.
